Bookinghook is a vacation rental booking system that provides independent property managers and hosts with direct booking infrastructure including a real-time availability calendar widget, online payment processing, calendar synchronisation with major OTAs, and automated guest messaging. The platform is designed to reduce reliance on OTA commissions by enabling hosts to capture direct reservations through their own website. It is headquartered in Canada and serves hosts across Europe including Spain, France, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, and Belgium, with expansion into North America.
Core features include an embeddable real-time availability calendar that guests can use to book and pay directly without leaving the host's site. Online payment processing is handled via Stripe and Mollie integrations. Calendar synchronisation with Airbnb, Booking.com, Vrbo, Google Calendar, and Outlook is supported via iCal, keeping availability consistent across platforms. Automated guest messaging is delivered via email, SMS, and WhatsApp. Hosts can set base pricing, apply date-range pricing overrides, and create promotional booking links with custom pricing. The system does not provide full two-way API channel management; iCal synchronisation is one-directional in terms of availability export.
