Tedee makes retrofit smart locks that mount on the existing cylinder, together with access accessories. The lock range covers Tedee GO, GO2, PRO and GO2 Z-Wave, with the Tedee Bridge, a door sensor, cylinders and adapters, and entry devices such as the Keypad PRO and the Biometric Module. Locks are controlled through the Tedee app, which sends virtual keys limited to set hours or days and keeps a live activity log with push notifications.
In the Tedee Portal, hosts connect their Airbnb listings through Hospitable. A unique PIN is generated for each booking and sent to the guest through Airbnb messaging before check-in. The PIN works only during the booked dates and is entered on a Tedee Keypad outside the door. Each property needs a Tedee PRO or GO lock, a keypad and a Bridge on Wi-Fi. Channel management platforms such as Hostify, Guesty, Smoobu and KrossBooking also support automatic PIN check-ins with Tedee, and a public API is documented. The locks work with Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Google Home, Homey, Loxone and Control4, and carry Matter support.
Short-term rental hosts and property managers who want keyless self check-in on existing doors, including occasional Airbnb hosts who do not use a channel manager, as well as homeowners.
