str market mapSTR hosts and managers handling growing message volume cannot keep up with timely, accurate, around-the-clock responses to guest questions, but lack the team size to justify enterprise guest communication platforms.
HostBuddy AI is an AI-powered guest messaging and workflow automation tool built specifically for short-term rental hosts and property managers. The platform connects to a host's PMS to pull property data, reservation details, and house rules, then uses that context to generate and send accurate, personalised responses to guest messages around the clock. It integrates with Hostaway, Guesty, OwnerRez, Hospitable, Hostify, Beds24, and Smoobu.
HostBuddy operates in two modes: full autopilot, where messages are sent directly to guests without human review, and copilot, where drafted responses are queued for the host to approve before sending. Key capabilities include AI-driven responses to common guest questions, check-in instruction delivery, sentiment analysis to detect frustrated or unhappy guests and adjust tone accordingly, and automated review request suppression for negative experiences. The platform surfaces revenue opportunities through automated offers for early check-ins, late check-outs, and gap-night stays. Action item detection flags messages requiring physical follow-up such as maintenance issues, routing notifications to the relevant team member via multi-channel alerts. External channel support extends to WhatsApp and OpenPhone.
Individual Airbnb hosts and small-to-mid-size property management companies handling enough volume to make manual messaging a bottleneck, particularly operators managing tens to hundreds of listings.
